Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell was born 22nd May 1970 in Streatham, London,England. She was raised by her mother who was an Afro-Jamaican decent.
Campbell's first public appearance was when she was only 7 years old in February 1978 when she was cast as a pupil to appear in a music video for Bob Marley's song "is this love". So it seems that she got a taste of fame at such an early age.
1980s at the start of her career she appeared on the catwalks of Milan and Paris as well as on the cover pages of internationally renowned fashion magazines.
But lately Naomi Campbell attends more court hearings than runway shows.
She has had numerous Assault charges in the past 3 years as well as appearing at the United  Nations court for accepting  blood diamonds as a gift from a known war criminal.
Growing up Naomi Campbell was one of the fist super models i got familiar with. i still have great admiration for her stunning looks and amazing runway presence.
so I hope it all works out for you Ms Campbell and i will always be a fun.

Kanye is the Man

Kanye on the Phoenix.
Even before the parallel of the crash in my career and the rise from the ashes, even before that parallel I was feeling this idea of this Phoenix. Thinking about it, I wanted Every girl I have ever been in a relationship with, I wanted her to feel like a piece of her was being represented and even for my mother to feel like she was being represented when she sees this and just for females to connect with the different emotions. And also a representation of creativity and being different. Like that point “the world knocks the wings off of the Phoenix and turns them into stone”. The whole thing is, I won’t [let society] turn me to stone. There was this line “I sold my soul to the devil, that was a crappy deal”, when I say that, I am saying “when I allow other people’s ideas to interfer with what I know is true to myself, that’s the devil. People talking mess on the blogs, that’s the devil, or people calling me names. Me thinking twice about what it is that’s really in my heart because of what people’s reaction will be, is me selling myself to the devil.
Kanye on the Michael Jackson scene in Runaway.
The hood, what it does represent to me … in relation to the Michael Jackson thing is not the KKK but the concept of cult, because it’s multiple people with this hood on. It’s me taking [the phoenix] to my world and saying, ‘Let me show you what my world is about.’ ”
The greatest, biggest pop-cultural figure of all time, arguably bigger than Jesus Christ, is Michael Jackson.
“If you saw the kid in the beginning, he’s running and running at top speed holding his torch, and his torch represents his thoughts and ideals. At the end, after he’s been cultivated, he has the hood on now and he’s walking extremely slow. That’s basically how people think. It’s the way society has set people up to be able to control them, slave mentalities.”
“[By] just creating this mentality by cultivating the ideals … you could just make people just stand in their own mental jails. What happens when someone isn’t in a mental jail?”

Beauty Runs In My Jeans!

 Denim is back.
Remember the 90's when we wore denim overalls, dresses, skirts even accessories?

Well, now you can rock oversized denim shirts on top of your capri dresses, or even with darker denim pants.
Jeans are the most popular form of causal wear but with the right combination it can be dressy too.

Men can add a nice blazer and dressy shoes to their everyday denim to take them from day to night while women just have to add a sexy pair of heels and they are good to go.

So when does Denim become OTT?

well thats when you wear light blue denim jeans/skirt with matching jacket. thats a no no so as much as we love them our denim pieces it don't mean we have to wear them all out at once.

Less is always more!

How cute are those Blue and White Denim shoes.

I spotted a few nice denim shirts at Glassons,Sussan and Traget(Men's).
Light blue denim always looks great layered with a white T-shirt or a white dress  and beige accessories.

My favorite artist in the whole wide world Kanye West bringing Denim back with a splash of green.

Well truth be I still haven't bought one yet i am thinking to check out Savers Footscray first to see if i spot a bargain.
Until then stay stylish.

Lots of love

Is it Spring yet??

Ahhh... how we all look forward to spring, when the sun starts to tease us with it warmth and we can finally unload some of our layers.
I am not a big fun of summer.  Can’t  stand the hot stickyness of it all but I LOVE SPRING.
Spring  is all about colours, pretty and bright flower prints on our dresses ,shoes and accessories.
So here are a few spring pieces i came across.... Enjoy!
